thoughts on paper. To express
myself, to have a conversation with
those who are willing, ready and able to
carry on a conversation but something have always held me back. The thought of it is not the right time, nobody cares what you think, writing is not meant for you, people will just laugh at you or better still go get a day job kept coming to my mind. Do you relate?
Well, October 9th, 2014 marked another cycle in my life. I could have done this earlier but I have no regrets because this is the right time. I call it celebrating my "40s". In our Christian lives, we might face many obstacles and closed doors. We may seem to fail at times. But we need to remember the importance of persistence. This is because with persistence and God’s favor, we can overcome any obstacle.
I write to the universe as one who has firsthand knowledge when it comes to obstacles, but through persistence and God’s favor comes the Breakthrough.
I am grateful celebrating my "40s" because there are many who did not even think of reaching "40" not to talk of celebrating their "40s". There comes a time in Life when everything comes to a standstill. You think it is marriage, and then you get married. You think it is having kids, and then you get children and one of them is hooked up on oxygen for two years with doctors advising you to pull the plug because there is nothing they can do. You think it is furthering your education, and then you get into Law school and just when you are about to graduate, you get involved in a very serious car accident on the day of your final exams. You finally get the Juris Doctorate degree and excited to write the BAR exam, and then you are diagnosed with hydrocephalus (Fluid in the brain). You decide to take things into your hands by following your passion of being an Entrepreneur, and then you get your own friends and family criticizing you for making the worst decision in your life. This is my story in a nut shell yet I am in my 40s, the most grateful person on earth and enjoying every bit of it.
I learnt during my struggles that we must be persistent in order to find success. As we continue to Ask, Seek and Knock, we can be confident that God will hear our prayers and the door will be opened. So if any of you reading this is facing challenges or delays, DON’T BECOME DISCOURAGED. Trust in God, stay Faithful and Refuse to Give Up. The best thing about the past is that it has passed. Everything you’ve done, everything that has happened is over, finished and behind you.
As I celebrate my "40s", I have accepted me for who I am. I am going to express myself, my ideas and my view on life especially on issues relating to women and children, entrepreneurship and above all just being me. I invite you to comment if you care but remember the ideas are mine and I am not obliged to abide by yours neither are you obliged to abide by my ideas. I don’t hang around negative people, neither do I tolerate negative ideas so if you have a negative mindset, please don’t bother saying a word.
I embrace the "40s" and I will like to encourage all those who are in their "40s" to embrace theirs. I love life, I love the universe and I love to serve. My goal is to work extremely hard during my "40s" and sacrifice every negativity in me so that my Golden years will be that of Abundance, Love and Giving. I also intend to make 85% of my daily conversation to be productive, purposeful and of course profitable.
Thank you to all my friends and loved ones for the wonderful birthday wishes. It is my BREAKTHROUGH and I am excited. I know I will be losing some people along the way, but it is okay. I embrace my "40s" and I am excited I can now speak up and feel good about it while just being me, myself and I.
Cheers to your success.
